Troubleshooting Publishes
So let's say something went wrong with your publish. The QT on SG didn't look right, some pipeline variable was incorrect, maybe your deadline configuration was haywire. Do you have to rerender all your work? Absolutely not.
What's not wrong in this situation?
- The version of your script you published to SG.
- The EXRs you rendered and the file path to them that you published to SG.
What is wrong in this situation?
- The Quicktime.
So what needs to happen?
- The nuke script publish can stay where it is. You'll notice you were automatically versioned up when you published the first time. That's fine. Again, the problem isn't with your script.
- Your previous version and associated published .mov file need to go. So reach out to a coordinator to have them remove those from the database.
- From your versioned up script, republish, but this time don't republish your current script or EXR path.

Please be aware, the full data set is needed for ShotGrid ToolKit to function properly. So only be selective about what you're publishing when you need to be. (Thanks from the guy who manages this shit)
Need to republish your EXR path too? And your QT? or some combination?
In some cases, the problem has nothing to do with the QT render, maybe it was your script afterall, maybe it was the EXRs.
In those cases, you should also ask the coord to just remove files and or versions you need to remove and then you can just select the one option for what you need to do.
